Born in Miami, Harry R. Schafer earned his B.S. in accounting, with high honors, and his J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida where he was a member of the University of Florida Moot Court Team, and served as the chief tax editor of the University of Florida Law Review.

Admitted to bar in Florida; 1985, U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern districts of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Schafer is a member of the Dade County, Federal and American Bar associations-litigation; corporation; banking and business law; patent, trademark and copyright law sections.

Mr. Schafer, who is conversant in Spanish, is a member of The Florida Bar, The International Trademark Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His areas of practice include securities, arbitration, mediation, class actions, complex commercial litigation, professional liability and intellectual property.
